Location: London (in-person, at students’ homes) & Online (worldwide)
Contract Type: Self-employed / Independent Contractor
Compensation: £30–£35 per hour (based on experience)
Start Date: Ongoing - applications accepted year-round
 

About Modern Way Piano

As our community of students continues to grow, we are expanding our team and seeking exceptional piano teachers who share our passion for musical excellence and modern pedagogy.

The Role

 

  • Deliver engaging private piano lessons to students (primarily children) in their homes across London

  • Bring a creative, flexible, and inspiring approach to teaching, blending solid classical foundations with enjoyable modern repertoire.

  • Foster students’ motivation, discipline, and musical curiosity through thoughtful guidance and regular communication.

  • Collaborate closely with parents and the Modern Way Piano team to support each learner’s progress.

  • Benefit from access to curated teaching materials, repertoire guides, and ongoing pedagogical support.
     

What We’re Looking For
 

  • Outstanding piano proficiency and musical understanding (minimum Grade 8 or conservatoire level).

  • A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring young learners.

  • Professionalism, punctuality, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel to students’ homes (for in-person lessons) or conduct online sessions.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
